 The Province od Biella offers numerous possibilities for various sports and activities some of which depend on the season and might have limited availability.Please contact us or fill in our request form for details and to pre-book. Guided treks can be arranged in the national parks or on the lower slopes of the mountains. The lake of Viverone offers great fishing opportunities, either from the shore or by boat, for catching pike, perch, tench, trout and carp. Try and beat the record of a 24kg carp! We can also arrange for the services of our local fishing guide who will help both beginners or experienced fishermen get the best catch either by boat or from the shore.  If you enjoy sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, swimming or just taking it easy in a pedalo or rowing boat, take your choice at the nearby lakes of Viverone and Orta. The famous lakes of Maggiore, Lugano, Garda, Como and the Mediterranean coast of Liguria are all about 1- 2 hours drive away. A marvellous large kart track is located next to lake Viverone. Lots of fun is guaranteed for young and old alike. Plenty of special bike tracks abound (4 cross country and 3 downhill). Bike rental, courses or guided tours are also available at the nearby national mountain bike school. The many national and regional parks and protected nature reserves will enable you to get close to nature. Biella is famous for it's textile industry and is the home to some of the famous top houses in the world such as Cerruti, Zegna, Fila. Why not pick up a bargain as they all have their own factory outlet stores where the latest fashions can be purchased at a fraction of the UK high street prices! The area is a paradise for painters at all skill levels because of its varied scenery, wild life and architectural diversities. | |
