You will be picked up from your accommodation in the morning and then be taken up to the beautiful sanctuary of Oropa at the foot of the Mucrone mountain in the Biella Alps.

This sanctuary is the most famous in all the European Alps and the first church to be build here dates back to 1200 AD.

You take the cable car from this point to just below the summit of Mucrone at 1900 m. From here you have amazing views of the Alps and the plains of Biella.

A short easy walk takes you to the mountain lake. After this you descend back to Oropa where you have your lunch stop.

After lunch you have a guided tour of the sanctuary, including its ancient library, treasure room, royal pavilion and the cloister with the old and new basilicas.

Your tour includes some of the 20 surrounding chapels dating back to the 15 century.
