This excursion is a guided tour of one of Italy’s most beautifully preserved 13th century fortified citadels. The 200 buildings that make up this “Ricetto” are completely surrounded by an irregular four sided cobble-stoned wall with round towers at each corner. A square tower gatehouse and drawbridge protect the entrance.	After your guided tour you will meet your chef at a local taverna just outside the walls of the Citadel and he will demonstrate the cooking of some local dishes and introduce you to some local wines and their accompanying cheeses, all of which will be your lunch.
